7 Year Itch Competition
'7 Itches for 7 Days'

Out of only 7 submissions, one person got all questions right.

So the clever clogs award of Sioux trivia goes to: (drum roll...) *** Costas ***

And for everyone else that unfortunately didn’t win, here playing should be a taster of the Cd that you can also download (right click - save as target).
(The original recording of the material on this (promo) is owned exclusively by Sanctuary records. The samples used here from 'Jigsaw Feeling' and 'Icon' are used purely to act as promotion for the forthcoming official release of the live album, and are therfore not used in their entirety or intended to infringe any copyright).

Thank you to Allessandra and Justine, without whom this promo cd and subsequent competition would not have been available. And a special thank you to everyone that took part in this quiz and had a go. I wish I had enough of these little cds to send out to you all as you all tried so hard, but sadly no... It was a difficult thing to get the blend of questions right for everyone, not too easy and not too hard, to hopefully give everyone a chance, all of them were to be found out there in cyberspace so to not alientate anyone who doesn't have a whole host of books and cuttings etc.... .

I may consider doing another  quiz where I only ask one question and the winner drawn randomly, but it would only be for live Cds from my site, the first being the Japan Sonic Fest 02 from DVD. Again, I would only do this if there is enough interest, so if you like the idea, give me a shout!

Listed below are the correct answers and where they are to be found

Itch 1- Monday 7th:   During what song did Siouxsie dislocate her knee in 1985 at Hammersmith?  CHRISTINE
(mentioned on my diary pages 24th October 1985 and heard on a bootleg tape of the show)

Itch 2 Tuesday 8th:   Who was 'nearly a Banshees drummer'? (ONE name only is needed! - he's only known by one name!!!) DIXON
(mentioned in the 'cast in order of appearance' at the start of the Ray Stevenson Photobook as 'nearly a banshee drummer' and pictured a few pages in from there with Sioux, Steve and Pete, also mentioned on my site in the diary pages of 1977).

Itch 3 - Wednesday 9th: What Siouxdonym did the band use for some shows in 1980 JANET AND THE ICEBERGS, mentioned on my site in the diary pages 1980 and to be heard on bootleg tapes

Itch 4 - Thursday 10th: Premature Burial is based on the Poe story of the same name, but in one music press interview it was also said to relate to what type of claustrophobia? SOCIAL CLAUSTROPHOBIA
(featured in SOUNDS 'Humourless? Us? That’s not funny' Article 29-sept -1979, also featured in the Ray Stevenson Photobook and on untiedundone.com)

Itch 5 - Friday 11th: the name ‘The Glove’ and the imagery of that album was inspired by what?  (an easy peasy one!)
THE BEATLES 'YELLOW SUBMARINE'
(the movie features the The Glove character that they are named after and that is pictured on their cover - I know some of you put down LSD as the answer and all though Steve and Robert were watching a whole host of films whilst under the influence of it, it was the actual name and cover inspiration that I was after, so I would've accepted your answers had you of listed The Beatles Yellow Submarine as well).

Itch 6 - Saturday 12th: What football (UK) team does Severin support as mentioned in an interview, it has (unofficial) connections with the Star of David (strangely enough) TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
(from a webchat in 1998 and a radio interview on GLR with Sean Hughs, also in '98 that is available as a download on Untiedundone.com) the unofficial connection out of curiosity, stems from the fact that the team are in Tottenham, North London, which is (or has been) a largely Jewish community, The fans nicknames are 'Yiddos' or 'Yids' and often use the Israel flag (Star of David).

Itch 7 - Sunday 13th: What was the name of the animal adopted by Sioux and Budgie in the 1980’s from London Zoo?
GREGORY THE PECCARY
(mentioned several times in various interviews and articles, one being the No1 magazine from 1988 when Sioux mentions the not so famous Amy the Armidillo too, but Gregory as being the most famous!)
