SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES

Live in San Francisco @ The Fillmore April 24th 2002

This is a coalmind's personal review of the show from her site:

a word: PHENOMENAL!
They sounded fabulous, they all looked fabulous, and Siouxsie is more sexy, mature, and captivating than ever!!

I can't remember everything that was said to the audience, but here are some quotes, all approximate...

Pure
Jigsaw Feeling
(Sioux greets audience, "Well! I'm here, and they're here, and we're here, and YOU'RE HERE!!")
Cascade(Sioux begins to recite 'Mittageisen,' then: "enough of the fucking German, how about some English?!")
Metal Postcard ("How about some Arabic??" crowd goes crazy)
Arabian Knights
Christine
("and now a calm before the next storm")
Lullaby
Lands End
(I think here Sioux rants about MTV and record labels, then says something like:  "we don't need any of that fucking crap!!")--right on!, very fitting statement for next song...
I Could Be Again (Next song begins, but Sioux tells band to stop and complains about the cold air blowing on the stage --the breeze I actually liked-- but she wittily says that she wants it "hot up here!... I know they call me the 'Ice Bitch' but I don't like the cold THAT much!")
Switch
Night Shift
Voodoo Dolly
(Knox plays TRIPPY effects and improvisations on this one!, while Siouxsie lays down and writhes around on the stage a lot)

1st Encore

(Siouxsie: "The guys played this next song last night with their pants off, let's see if they can play it with their pants on!")
Nicotine Stain
Cities In Dust

2nd Encore

Spellbound   (I am amazed that during the line: "take them by the legs," Siouxsie actually grabs her left foot and raises it up, about as high as her shoulder, completely stretching that leg out straight!! She did some high kicks during the concert too + lots of jumps and dancing)
Blue Jay Way (--a cover of a Beatles song!-- They drew the song out long with lots of improvisation, at the end Siouxsie repeats again and again: "... please don't be long,  please don't be long...")
